Golden Valley, Minnesota is a
suburb created along and adjacent to both interstate 394 and Highway
55. The reason for its creation was due to areas like Winnetka,
Highlands, Tyrol Hills, Aquila Highlands, Golden Valley Knolls, all
suburbs which are within 10-15 minutes of downtown Minneapolis. It
is also the international home of General Mills. Many executives and
middle mangers find Golden Valley convenient to downtown major
fishing, water skiing and water recreational area for the twin
cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul as well as shopping and other
family activities.
Located in Hennepin County, Golden Valley is a first
ring Northwest suburb of Minneapolis, 10-15 minutes from downtown
and 35 minutes from Minneapolis / St. Paul International airport.
The city is wrapped around Golden Valley Country Club a Championship
Golf Course, with its own bank and 2 shopping centers less than 5
miles from Ridgedale a major mall.
